Lecture Hall Seating for Universities and Schools
Lecture hall seating is fixed seating, usually with a writing tablet, mounted on the tiered floor of university classrooms, school auditoriums and training centres. Compared with standard conference seating it needs a floor fixing suited to steps or slopes, a tablet for taking notes and a frame that withstands heavy daily use.

What to check when choosing lecture hall seats
- Writing tablet: a tablet that folds into the armrest keeps the row clear for movement and evacuation; a fixed tablet is more economical. See the Rom conference chair with writing tablet and Soft seminar chairs with writing tablets.
- Foam and upholstery: our models use 55-density foam. Tell us the fire class required in your specification (e.g. EN 1021 or DIN 4102 B1) and we select the fabric accordingly.
- Row spacing and seat width: rows are usually planned 90–105 cm apart; seat width is 50–55 cm depending on the model.
- Floor and installation: seats are fixed on top of the step or on the riser. If the hall has no tiered floor, we can build it with our floor raising systems.
- Warranty: 2 years against manufacturing defects, with spare parts and repair afterwards.
Production and delivery
Production takes about one week on average, depending on quantity and options. We deliver and install in Istanbul, ship across Turkey with partner carriers and export abroad.
